The Center for Coastal Studies salutes volunteer extraordinaire Marjorie Kehne, of Provincetown!
A former landscape designer and contractor in the Washington, DC area, Marjorie began volunteering at CCS in 2021. Marjorie regularly staffs the Center’s kiosk on MacMillan Pier, serves as a docent in the visitors’ center, collects water quality samples, does beach cleanups with the “Beach Brigade,” and even takes care of the Center’s indoor plants!
“She’s always willing to help. We couldn’t do what we do without the help of Marjorie and the dedicated and knowledgeable volunteers like her,” said Jennifer McFarland, CCS Volunteer Coordinator. “We’re grateful to all our volunteers but Marjorie goes above and beyond, putting in more hours than anyone.”
“I believe in the Center for Coastal Studies and want to support the scientific research and educational outreach. I do it because I believe the Center’s efforts are making a positive impact on our planet,” explained Marjorie.
