All Town Open Call Art Exhibition
An inspiring art exhibition at the Provincetown Bookshop shines light on 50 years of research at the Center for Coastal Studies. Curated by CCS Scientist/Artist in Residence Mark Adams, the All Town Open Call Art Exhibition currently includes 55 artworks by about 50 artists and continues to grow.
The art on display is a visual banquet of images, ranging from a poignant black and white photo of a whale stranding on a Wellfleet beach by scientist/artist Alexis Doshas, to a series of zooplankton drawings in ink by scientist Agnes Mittermayer. Other works include a carved wood sculpture that evokes sand ripples by Cole Cook, a large textile of woven beach debris rope by Clinton Van Gemert, and a shadow box of oystercatcher foot prints by Audrey Luster, and much more.
