Dear Friends,

Like everyone affected by the COVID-19 crisis, we are regrouping and trying to make the best of the situation.

I want to assure you that the Center for Coastal Studies continues to pursue its mission to protect and conserve the world’s oceans and marine life in every way we are able. I know you believe, as we do, that the oceans are our safety net in the long term, and that together we can ensure not only their protection, but their recovery from decades of adverse impacts and careless treatment.

In the days and weeks ahead, the Center will keep you updated with new online features and resources to inform and assist with at-home activities. We will let you know our adaptations for key events such as our annual Homeport Gala, the Napi’s lecture series and summer sunset whale watches. We will work to keep you engaged and excited about our work and your important involvement during this stressful and changing period.

This is not a time to stop our efforts, it is a time to come together. Thank you for your patience, understanding, and continued support. Together we will get through this difficult chapter and move on to a brighter future for our planet, particularly the oceans, upon which all life depends.

Respectfully,
Richard Delaney
President and CEO
