Youth Ocean Summit at UMass Boston

April 7 @ 9:30 am - 4:00 pm

Center for Coastal Studies Director of Marine Education Jesse Mechling will participate on a panel, “Planet over Plastic,” at the Youth Ocean Summit at UMass Boston on Sunday, April 7.

Do you want to take action to protect the ocean? Register for the New England Youth Ocean Summit.

With the Gulf of Maine heating up faster than almost any other part of our ocean, now is the time to take action to conserve sensitive habitats, protect whales and other marine mammals and fight plastic pollution. When young people come together, we can make change, and we can build a better future for the life off New England’s shores.

Join us on April 7 at UMass Boston to learn how you can make a difference for the ocean, inspire your peers and make real change by attending the New England Youth Ocean Summit. We’ll hear from experts about the problems facing our ocean, learn advocacy skills and inspire each other to make change.

Registration is free, and travel stipends are available for students traveling to Boston for the conference.

Sign up here, and learn more about the conference on the Summit website.
