DESCRIPTION:Gray seals and harbor seals can often be seen resting on local beaches at areas called “haul-outs.” Join CCS educators for a hike to search for seals in Truro and learn more about the role these animals play in our coastal ecosystem. SUMMARY:Photographing Whales Workshop
DESCRIPTION:The Center for Coastal Studies and the Truro Center for the Arts at Castle Hill invites nature photographers to explore Cape Cod for a two-day photographing whales workshop on September 3 – 4.  Participants will learn about local marine life\, and techniques for capturing intimate and active portraits of these animals. DESCRIPTION:Join the CCS Beach Brigade and Education Department for the annual CCS CoastSweep cleanup\, this year slated for Saturday\, September 19\, 2026\, at Long Point in Provincetown. \nDate may change because of unforeseen circumstances\, and details will be sent to all registrants. \nCLEANUP \n\n\nDate: Saturday\, September 19th\, 2026\nTime: 10am – 12pm\n\nLocation: Meet at MacMillan Wharf\, Provincetown \nNO TRASH TALLY \n\nFor this cleanup\, we head out by boat from the wharf to Long Point. Working in teams\, we record the data on clipboards as we collect the debris. All our data are sent to the office of MA Coastal Zone Management for inclusion in the International Coastal Cleanup database. \nClick here to register.
