Guided Whale Walk

April 22 @ 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm

$10
Cape Cod is arguably one of the finest spots on earth to view cetaceans from land. Critically endangered North Atlantic right whales come to Cape Cod Bay each winter to feed, while in late spring and early summer, humpback, fin and minke whales arrive.
CCS staff and scientists will lead guided walks to Race Point, Wood End, and Herring Cove to watch for whales as they feed in the surrounding waters, often only a few hundred feet from shore. Information and updates on right whale research will also be available.
CLICK HERE TO REGISTER. Suggested donation $10/person.
Please note that, due to COVID-19 related restriction, reservations are strictly limited to 12 people or fewer per hike.

Attendees must bring and wear a mask and observe the State of Massachusetts physical-distancing recommendations. No material or equipment will be passed around, so please bring your own binoculars.

Meet your guide at the Bath House at Herring Cove parking lot (on the left/south side), off Province Lands Road, at the end of Route 6 in Provincetown.

Wear comfortable shoes, and be prepared for a 1/2 – 2 mile hike over soft sand. Dress for the weather!

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Jesse Mechling, Director of Education, at 508-487-3622 x 114 or email [email protected].
