Panel Discussion: Plastic Pollution – Local Solutions to a Global Problem

March 4, 2017 @ 1:30 pm - 3:00 pm

Presented by CCS and Pleasant Bay Community Boating (PBCB).

The scope of plastic pollution on the planet can seem overwhelming to someone who cares about the health of our environment.

Join a panel of Cape Cod experts to learn what scientists, activists, businesses, municipalities, and school children are doing to address this problem at local, regional and state levels. Topics covered will include bag and polystyrene bans, recycling programs, single-use awareness campaigns, infrastructure and transportation ideas, and policy changes.

The panel will also discuss what YOU can do to tackle the problem of plastics with your purchasing power, volunteer activity, lifestyle changes, political decisions, and charitable contributions.

Free, all welcome!
