LIVE Dockside Chat: All The Small Things

September 28 @ 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm

All The Small Things: Keystone species and conserving our delicate food webs
Presented by Agnes Mittermayr, PhD

Life – from algae to humans to worms – is all connected, each organism playing its part in huge, complex food webs. At the center of each one is a ‘keystone’ species, without which the web would change dramatically or collapse entirely. Agnes Mittermayr, a marine ecologist in the Center for Coastal Studies Geology Department, explains how we can save whole ecosystems by protecting these critical keystone species, most of which are tiny, inconspicuous animals that you’ve probably never even heard of.

We will be recording the presentation, so if you’re unable to tune in at 12.30 pm please let us know and we’ll send you a link to the video.

We also encourage you to send in questions for the the panel ahead of the discussion and we’ll do our best to answer them during the taping.

Pre-registration is required! Sign up at https://us02web.zoom.us/webinar/register/1015982070311/WN_3zzWlPRDTCSUoOdmT3QeUg
