Field Walk: By Land and by the Sea at Hatches Harbor

May 4, 2019 @ 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm

$10 – $15

Explore Hatches Harbor with CCS’s Lisa Sette & Elizabeth Bradfield

With its wide tidal creek, expansive salt marsh, and bordering dunes, Hatches Harbor in Provincetown is a beautiful and ever-changing landscape to explore in all seasons. Join CCS biologist Lisa Sette and naturalist Elizabeth Bradfield for a walk to see what surprises late winter offers in this dynamic, and ecologically important, environment. We’ll look for birds including migrant songbirds and birds of prey and lingering winter ducks; scan off-shore for whales; watch for tracks; and search the wrack line for other signs of marine life.

This walk will cover up to two miles and travel along the edge of the marsh, through dunes, and by the edge of the water. Dress warmly for the weather in layers, wear waterproof and comfortable boots for walking, and bring binoculars if you have them.

Pre-registration is required.
Suggested donation is $10 for CCS Members and $15 for non-members.

To register CLICK HERE on this link for the registration page.

This walk is limited to 12 people, so sign-up today! Directions to meeting location will be given to registrants.
