The area is home to endangered whales, 1000-year-old deep sea coral communities, and a plethora of fish and seabird species. As New England’s only marine monument, this amazing place is scientifically and ecologically important and belongs to the American people.

Rich Delaney, President and CEO of the Center for Coastal Studies, will give a brief overview of Marine Protected Areas worldwide as a proven way to protect and manage ocean resources.

Come learn what needs to be done to ensure continued protection of our ocean’s most special places.

This event is free and all are welcome to attend. Space is limited, so reservations are recommended. RSVP to Cathrine Macort at 508-487-3622 x 103.

Presented by the Conservation Law Foundation and the Center for Coastal Studies.
