Run the Trails for the Whales 5K
Sunday, July 3oth at 8 am
Lace up your running shoes and join us for a fun 5K through the beautiful Province Lands in the Cape Cod National Seashore. Pre-registration is required.  Registration fee is just $25, and all proceeds support the Center’s education programs. First 75 registrants will receive a souvenir Trails for Whales T-Shirt!

Build Your Own Home Made Boat  
Wednesday August 2 at 3 pm

Join us on the beach in front of the Crown and Anchor to build your own boat in preparation for the Home Made Boat Race on Thursday.  Marine debris collected throughout the year will be available for anyone to come and use for their boat. Remember all boats made only from trash score high on ingenuity points!

Home Made Boat Race 
Thursday August 3 at 5 pm

The Home Made Boat Race highlights the issue of marine debris in our ocean. Use whatever you can to build a vessel that will get you to the finish line! Prizes will be awarded.

Pre-registration is required. Register by contacting Venture Athletics Water Sports at 508-487-9442 or Jesse Mechling at 508-487-3623 x 103. Please download your Registration form, Pledge Sheet and a copy of the Rules and Regulations. 

This event is sponsored by Venture Athletics Water Sports, The Crown & Anchor, and J & E Produce. Rain date Friday August 4 at 5pm.  $50 minimum donation to enter.  Grand Prize awarded to team that raises the most amount of money to support our education programs!

Zooplankton seen under the microscopeBecome a junior marine biologist! Use a plankton tow to collect tiny marine creatures then take an up close and personal look under the microscope. Learn how and why the biggest animals in the ocean depend on the smallest animals to survive!
This hands-on program is designed for kids age 5 – 12.
$3 fee, reservations recommended. Meet at SEA Space, 333R Commercial Street, Provincetown (behind the Squealing Pig).

Marine Discovery Hour.
Monday 25th-Thursday  28th at 11am
This week’s theme will be WHALES of course!  Join us once or each day to learn different aspects of the world of whales.  This program is designed for kids ages 7-12, but also anyone who wants to find out more.  $3 donation. Meet at SEA Space, 333R Commercial Street, Provincetown (behind the Squealing Pig).

Tidal Flats Exploration
Come get your feet wet and discover the secrets of the tidal flats!
West End Breakwater, Provincetown. Registration not required. $3.

Whale Week Amazing Race 3
CCS, in partnership with the Pilgrim Monument and Museum, presents a fun, family friendly version of The Amazing Race.  Teams of up to 4 people will compete in a race that takes in some of Provincetown’s iconic locations, while learning about the rich marine history of the town.  $30 per team of up to 4 people (includes admission to Pilgrim monument for entire day).   Registration is required. Register at the CCS kiosk on MacMillian Pier on Race Day.

Lecture: Whales of Cape Cod.
Thursday August 3rd at 11 am at Province Lands Visitor Center.
Free, all welcome!

Whale Games 2017
Marine themed games and competitions for kids of all ages 5-12.  Arts and crafts activities. Registration is not required. Free!
